A friend asked me if I had heard of the artist Charles Sheeler, I had not, so I looked him up online-
During the 1920s, Sheeler was associated with a group of painters called the Precisionists, known for their realistic style of painting. Precisionism (or Cubist Realism) is a style of representation in which an object is rendered in a realistic manner, but with an emphasis on its geometric form. Sheeler focused strongly on industrial subjects. He also transfered his exactness to abstract art.
I felt that this definition is spot on in describing my latest work, glad to know there is a name for my style.
